Bathing in Sound
“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies.” – Integrative Oncologist Dr Mitchell Gaynor
Sound can heal our bodies, the Ancient Egyptians had and used this knowledge to their benefit. Sound bathing was practised regularly, to heal and harmonise the body. These ancient technologies are powerful, and should be readily available to all human beings, that all may live the life, full of strength and vitality, as we were meant to.
Sound can heal us on a cellular level, as our bodies consist of cells and the vibration created by sound resonates within us, within each cell of our body; but sound can also disturb and harm us, if the frequency is wrong. Much of modern music is purposefully set at frequencies that disturb and not heal.
The music industry has changed over the years, particularly in the last twenty years or so. Music has become over sexualised, to the degree of explicitness, and disturbing frequencies, which harm and not heal our bodies, are being used more and more. The result of this is in effect a double assault on our well-being and on our spiritual well-being.
Light energy, and the natural healing properties of this great Mother Earth, have become marginalised, and pushed aside, but thankfully now this knowledge is resurfacing.
You see, there is no profit to be made in allowing us to live good, healthful lives; in knowing that for every illness known to man, there is a cure in nature. Mother Earth heals us freely and readily. Much of the serious and not so serious illnesses we experience today can be avoided, alleviated or cured by simply living a more health filled life, eating wholesome balanced foods, taking sugar and additives from our menu and living predominantly outdoors in the fresh air. We are hunter gatherers!
Sound and music is simply one aspect of living a balanced life, but it is a fundamental aspect, key to our well-being. Every culture, especially indigenous peoples, have long celebrated and lived with music and sound as a key part of daily life, from chanting to beating drums, to Tibetan bowls, church organs, wind instruments, wind chimes, singing, dancing...all or these traditions are healing for us in mind, body and soul....
The following video is amazing and made by a very talented person, Nigel Stanford, called Cymatics: Science v Music
